Since 2007, Elizabeth has helped hundreds of companies via her role as co-founder and CEO at The Ingenuity Group to access millions in tax credits. Irrespective of size, her many clients are able to testify to the breadth and depth of knowledge of SR&ED, OIDMTC, and other government programs. Through her work at The InGenuity Group she works with bleeding-edge technologies in diverse fields of science and technology. When she is not researching the latest tax credit regulations or web-related technologies, Elizabeth is regularly seen in the community at local startup events to answer questions companies may have about these programs. A graduate of the Lead to Win program (see feature in TechVibes), she understands first-hand the challenges faced by young startups through her experiences with her own tech company, Virtuoso (2009-2011).
In 2011, Elizabeth was appointed Executive Director of the Ottawa New Music Creators, a local not-for-profit organization that brings new music to local venues. Supporting her roots as a classical musician, she is also a board member with theOttawa Chamber Orchestra. Prior to her roles in Ottawa, Elizabeth travelled, taught, and performed on both French horn and trumpet around the world in countries as diverse as Kenya and Scotland. With a passion for teaching, her students have gone on to achieve top marks in RCM & ABRSM exams, as well as study at some of the top universities across Canada.
