Gail Carmichael
Gail (Banaszkiewicz) Carmichael is currently a PhD student at Carleton University researching educational games, narrative, and augmented reality.
Gail was a founder of Carleton’s Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) group, their Internal Affairs Executive for several years, and now continues to advise the group. She is on the Board of Advisors for the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology.
Her passion is teaching and she is an instructor and teaching assistant for Carleton’s School of Computer Science. She also is also co-organizer of Girl Develop It Ottawa, teaching others about how awesome programming and computer science are!
