Imagine stepping up to the counter to buy yourself a coffee (organic, fair-traded, bird-friendly) and being able to buy your child a fresh juiced juice and choose from a selection of local, in-season, (gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and even sugar-free) baked goods, snacks, meals and tex-mex. And now, imagine that while browsing our food and drink menu you notice a different kind of menu – an art and craft menu. While you sip your coffee and wait for your lunch, you and your child can experiment and play with pastels, watercolours or try your hand at a seasonal craft. Now you need not imagine any longer a family-friendly cafe with a mission to encourage creativity has arrived on Somerset St. Founded by former art teacher Krissy White, The Daily Grind features two menus – one for gluten-free food…EVERYTHING’S GLUTEN FREE and one for crafts.
